Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) is the national airline of Switzerland, serving over 100 destinations in 43 countries from Zurich and Geneva. From its main hub is Zurich Airport, with a focus city operation at Geneva Airport, SWISS operates scheduled services in Europe and to North America, South America, Africa and Asia, carrying more than 16.5 million passengers a year with its 91-aircraft fleet .
SWISS is part of the Lufthansa Group, and is also a member of Star Alliance, the world’s biggest airline grouping, with headquarters at EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg near Basel, Switzerland. The company’s Swiss WorldCargo division provides a comprehensive range of airport-to-airport airfreight services for high-value and care-intensive logistic solutions to around 130 destinations in over 80 countries.
The subsidiary Swiss Global Air Lines operates a fleet consisting of Boeing 777-300ER and Bombardier CSeries aircraft on behalf of Swiss International Air Lines. In addition to this, Swiss carrier Helvetic Airways operates five Embraer 190 and four Fokker 100 aircraft on behalf of Swiss and Austrian Airlines operates four Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 aircraft, also on behalf of Swiss. From July to September 2017, Adria Airways is operating one Bombardier CRJ900ER jet on behalf of Swiss. Brussels Airlines is also operating the Geneva - Calvi route in the summer months using an Avro RJ100 aircraft, on behalf of Swiss.
