Korean Air
Established in 1962, Korean Air is the largest airline and flag carrier of South Korea. Headquartered in Seoul, from from its base at Seoul Incheon International Airport, Korean Air provides an extensive network of domestic and international services. Korean Air is also the largest Asian airline in the Americas, flying from more cities in the Americas to more cities in Asia than any other airline.
Korean Air flies nonstop from hubs at Seoul Gimpo International Airport (GMP) and Seoul Incheon International Airport (ICN) to 20 domestic destinations and about 100 international destinations across Asia, Australia, Africa, Europe, North America and South America. Korean Air's international passenger division and related subsidiary cargo division together serve 127 cities in 44 countries, while its domestic division serves 12 destinations. It is among the top 20 airlines in the world in terms of passengers carried and is also the top-ranked international cargo airline. The carrier's cargo division, Korean Air Cargo, is the third largest cargo airline in the world.
As a founding member of the SkyTeam alliance, Korean Air also has codeshare agreements with about 45 other airlines. Korean Air's fleet of 164 Airbus, Boeing and Bombardier planes primarily consist of three-cabin (First Class, Business Class and Economy Class) configurations. Korean Air, with a fleet of 159 modern aircraft is one of the world’s top 20 airlines and operates more than 460 flights per day to 129 destinations in 46 countries. Korean Air is also the parent company of low-cost carrier, Jin Air.
Korean Air’s fleet consists of planes with two-cabin (Prestige Class, which is its version of Business Class, and Economy Class) and three-cabin (First Class, Prestige Class and Economy Class) configurations. Korean Air is also the world’s most successful in-flight retailer, and has also been among the world’s largest commercial airline cargo operator since 2004.
