Etihad Airways, the national airline and flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates, started operations in November 2003 and has become one of the world’s fastest growing airlines. From its Abu Dhabi base in Khalifa City, Etihad flies to, or has announced plans to serve, more than 110 passenger and cargo destinations in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia and the Americas. The airline has a fleet of over 120 Airbus and Boeing aircrafts. In 2013, it placed firm orders for 204 aircrafts, which included 71 Boeing 787s, 25 Boeing 777Xs, 62 Airbus A350s and 10 Airbus A380s.

With a fleet of more than 100 passenger and cargo aircraft operating over 1,000 flights per week, we serve an international network of more than 100 destinations in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia and the Americas.

Services from the U.S.

We offer daily, non-stop services to Abu Dhabi from Chicago (ORD), Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO) and Washington DC (IAD), double daily from New York (JFK) and three times per week from Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW).

In addition to the Etihad-operated gateways, we also offer easy connections from more than 100 U.S. gateways with our codeshare partners American Airlines and JetBlue. We have more than 45 codeshare partners, building a network that offers access to over 360 international destinations.

Etihad Chauffeur Service

Our First and Business Class guests can enjoy a door-to-door experience when they take advantage of the Etihad Chauffeur service at over 40 destinations worldwide. With a fleet of luxury cars, our executive car service offers the same level of service and comfort on the road that guests are used to on our aircraft. Our high-quality chauffeur service only uses unbranded vehicles for a safe and discreet service.

Immigration Preclearance

All Etihad Airways guests flying to our U.S. destinations – Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Washington D.C. can now use Abu Dhabi International Airport’s U.S. Customs and Border Protection Facility located at Terminal 3. This facility enables guests flying Etihad Airways to pre-clear the U.S. Customs and Border Protection formalities before boarding their flights in Abu Dhabi. On touchdown in the U.S., guests will be treated as though they are domestic arrivals. This means our guests are likely to have shorter connection times for onward flights in the U.S. with luggage arriving directly to the final destination. Travelers from the U.S., Canada and those eligible under the Visa Waiver Program can also experience shorter wait times. And with the addition of Automated Passport Control (APC) kiosks, U.S., Canadian and eligible Visa Waiver Program international travelers can experience even shorter wait times and faster processing when they use the Automated Passport Control (APC) kiosks at the airport.

Did you know that Dubai’s main hotel and business district is only a 45-60 minute drive from Abu Dhabi International Airport? That’s right, travel to Dubai from the U.S. via Abu Dhabi and avoid Dubai’s traffic lights with a relaxing straight run to the hotel courtesy of our Etihad Chauffeur service for First and Business Class guests or the complimentary Etihad Express Coach for Economy Class guests. We continue to expand our global network via our hub Abu Dhabi, a gateway to the Middle East, Asia and Australia.
