British Airways (BA), part of International Airlines Group, is one of the world's leading global premium airlines and the largest international carrier in the UK. British Airways is a full service global airline, offering year-round low fares with an extensive global route network flying to and from centrally-located airports. British Airways is the largest airline based in the United Kingdom in terms of fleet size, international flights, and international destinations. British Airways is a member and one of the founders of Oneworld, an airline alliance.
The head office is based in Waterside near its main hub at London Heathrow Airport, the world's busiest international airport, and flies to more than 170 destinations in 70 countries. British Airways has a fleet of more than 280 aircraft, including the A380 and 787. The centrepiece of the airline's long-haul fleet is the Boeing 777, with 58 in the fleet. BA is the largest operator of the Boeing 747-400, with 41 registered to the airline. The airline carries more than 40 million customers a year and serves those customers 35 million cups of tea, 36.5 million meals and 3.7 million bottles of wine.
