Aer Lingus
Headquartered in Dublin, Aer Lingus is the flag carrier and second largest airline in Ireland. Aer Lingus operates 62 aircraft on routes to destinations in the UK, Europe, North Africa, Asia Minor and North America, serving over 100 routes in Europe and 11 North American destinations with more than 100 onward connections across the U.S and Canada via its partner airlines. Aer Lingus is a member of International Airlines Group (IAG), one of the world's largest airline groups.
The airline’s base is Dublin Airport which is the only major airport in Europe to offer U.S preclearance, which enables passengers to save time on arrival in the U.S by completing immigration and customs checks prior to departure. Aer Lingus is a member of International Airlines Group (IAG). The airline has codeshares with Oneworld, Star Alliance and SkyTeam members, as well as interline agreements with Etihad Airways, JetBlue Airways and United Airlines. Aer Lingus has a hybrid business model, operating a mixed fare service on its European and North African routes and full service, two-class flights on transatlantic routes.
Aer Lingus announced that its Airbus A350 aircraft (A350 XWB or regional variant) will begin delivery in 2018, with three aircraft being delivered per year through to 2020. In January 2017, Aer Lingus announced its intention to finalise an order for seven A321LR twin jets to develop thinner transatlantic routes and to replace the four 757s on lease from ASL Airlines Ireland.
